ROAD TO TOKYO
Whatever you do, If you keep on getting the similar results over and over again - and if that result isn’t exactly what you’re looking for -
then there’s one most important question you need to ask yourself: What can I do differently to get a different result?
Going from good to great isn’t easy. It requires tireless dedication on a daily basis.
It’s about details; doing simple things with excellence and striving for greatness in every step you take.
It takes passion, it takes courage, and especially, commitment.
On this road to Tokyo, I realized that I could raise the bar even higher.
Same dedication, same commitment, same courage wasn’t enough anymore. I needed more...
So I took action.
Football is a team sport, one of the reasons why I chose the beautiful game.
There’s so much power in working with others for a common goal; there’s so much nobility involved in team relationships and in sacrificing for each other. But in the synergy of the collective, we must never forget the power of one!
When individuals on the team improve, the team improves!
Individual growth isn’t easy. It demands courage to go inwards and critical honesty with yourself, to identify what needs work.
During my career, I think I’ve done this quiet well and that’s why I’m proud of what I have accomplished so far... but I wanted more!
So I asked for help...
Because alone I can achieve, but together with others, I can achieve so much more...
Besides the support and assistance I get from the excellent professionals on the Brazilian National Team and UDG Tenerife, I decided to carefully recruit my support team.
And being the lucky person that I am (I mean, all great goalkeepers must have luck on their side!), I got my dream team.
These people ARE NOT ONLY THE BEST IN WHAT THEY DO, but also share the same vision, are invested in me and want more like me.
Donna Fishter, Caroline Bond and Mike Molloy.
These are the people helping me do it differently; helping me do it BETTER!

Donna Fishter
Leadership Coach & Team Architect | Player Development | Former NCAA D1 Coach
Our journey began back in 2007, when I joined the UCF’s women’s soccer program, with Donna as my Goalkeeper Coach. Since then, Big D has been an instrumental part of my growth and progress, not only as a player but especially as a person. During my college years, she empowered me and gave me the tools to develop the most important aspect of an athlete’s success, the mental game. Big D is a master of influence. She gives people confidence and inspires them to strive for excellence, to find greatness within themselves.
For the last year, Big D has been my firefighter. When things get tough, when I struggle to find answers, she is the one I call to help me put out the fire. Like last November, when I called her for help and she flew from Orlando to Tenerife, Spain to get things fixed. She's like no other!
In my road to Tokyo, Donna is next to me, making sure that I continue to polish my goalkeeper skills as well as strengthen my mental game.

Caroline Bond
Athletic Performance Coach | Adaptive and Paralympic Athlete Specialist
I met Caroline in 2009, when she joined our soccer program the University of Central Florida.
From the start, I knew she was a special person, looking to serve others and make people around her better. Even while taking different paths, we kept in touch. In 2015, we were fortunate to cross paths again, as she started an Athletic Performance Internship at UCLA. Having Caroline close to me again was a blessing, as she helped me achieve my dream of making the 2016 Olympic Roster for Brazil.

In the beginning of 2020, I reached out to Caroline for help again. I have heard many times before that Elite Level Athletes are used to living with some sort of pain and that I had to get used to competing at less than 100%. I believe I have a high tolerance for pain and have always being tough when it came to injuries and bouncing back from them, so I always found a way to keep going and to endure the pain; until I realized that if I wanted to achieve my biggest athletic dream, winning a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics, I couldn’t settle for less than my absolute best.
Through Remote Coaching, Caroline has helped me address pain and mobility issues, correct structural imbalances in upper and lower body and believe again that my body will be at its best shape to compete in Tokyo 2020+1.

Mike Molloy
Founder of M2 Performance Nutrition | PhD in Microbiology and Immunology
With an extensive education in multiple disciplines, Mike Molloy developed a knowledge of how to use nutrition and lifestyle adjustments to maximize health, longevity and human performance. Aware of his extensive experience and successful results, I asked Mike to join my journey and help me keep raise the bar even higher.
As a professional athlete, I have always tried my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle and nourish my body with real food. But when I asked the question “What can I do differently to get a different result”, nutrition was one of the things that came to mind, because I had never had a one-on-one, personal nutrition coach in the past. Like I said before, going from good to great isn’t easy. It requires tireless dedication on a daily basis and a lot of attention to the details. This is exactly what Mike is helping me do. He has showed me that every individual is unique and therefore their nutrition journey should be too.
With Mike’s guidance and accountability, I have started to understand my body better. Through diet tracking, finding out what makes me feel better or worse and knowing exactly what kind of fuel I need for trainings, games and recovery days, I have already seen positive results, even at the beginning of this journey.
I am thrilled to have Mike on my team. This will be a long process together and I can only imagine what I’ll be able to achieve at the end of the road. Find out more about Mike at www.m2performancenutrition.com
